Lana Markovic

Hi, I'm Lana!

I am a Co-Active coach and a yoga teacher.

I am passionate about living authentically and sustainably. I channel these passions in my everyday work by helping my clients live their best lives while staying true to themselves, in sync with their values and with nature.

I am committed to living a life of purpose, which is to help others write their own anthems and sing them from the top of their lungs! It’s a metaphor for what I believe I am meant to do in life: work with people so they can write their own stories and take the necessary steps to be their protagonists.

My coaching and teaching style is honest, direct, awareness-inducing, and action-oriented. I will support you in building awareness and alignment and guide you from one posture to another until your vision is fulfilled, all while acknowledging and championing you.

My beliefs

  • I believe that each of us deserves to live a life that brings us joy every single day; a life in which  we get up every morning excited about living another day with purpose.
  • I believe that in order to live our best life we need to take a holistic approach and incorporate our mind, body, and spirit.
  • I believe that we all have a responsibility to protect the environment and work on the betterment of society.
  • I believe that living a life that’s not aligned with our values and our life purpose never stops being challenging and I want to help change that.
  • I believe that the role of a coach is to speak truth to their clients. If they don’t hear it from their coach, they might never hear it, and that’s scary! Therefore I believe that my role as a coach is to say it like it is, help clients bring awareness to it, and encourage them to take action on it, whatever their “it” may be.

You can do anything you set your mind to.

My background

As a Co-Active Coach and a yoga teacher, I combine the disciplines of coaching and yoga in my work with clients to help them develop more self-awareness and support them on their journey of living balanced and fulfilled lives mindfully and sustainably. I truly believe in and promote an integrated approach to living our lives with a conscious mind, healthy body, and open spirit, while respecting each other and nature.

As you can imagine, being a coach and a yoga teacher wasn’t something I wanted to be as a child. I had no idea what coaching or yoga were or that they existed. So I took a traditional path of studying business and getting my master’s degree in marketing. After that I went on to work in corporate communications for almost a decade. During my time in the corporate world I was lucky enough to have roles that I utterly enjoyed, to work with wonderful and talented humans, travel around the world, and create some pretty cool stuff. At different points in my career I discovered yoga and coaching. After being a student and a client I eventually decided to train to become a yoga teacher and a coach myself. I was lucky enough to discover relatively early in my career that there was more that I was able to contribute to my community and to the society. I learned that one of the most rewarding ways to make an impact is through coaching and teaching yoga.

I continuously invest into my own personal development so that I can show up for my clients as the best version of myself. I also keep investing in my professional development to expand on the knowledge and tools I bring to clients to help them achieve their personal and professional goals.
